BREAKING: The liberal government has announced the cancellation of the 2 billion trees by 2030 program promised to Greta Thunberg after finance critic Pierre Poilievre informed the prime minister's office that money doesn't grow on trees. Nonetheless, the prime minister will remain friends with Greta.

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau vowed in September 2019 that if re-elected, his party would plant two billion trees as part of his plan to grow money on trees. The announcement came on the same day that Trudeau met with 17-year old Greta Thunberg.

The program was to be administered this fiscal year by the WE Charity. Marc and Craig Kielburger could not be reached for comment.
