Finance minister Chrystia Freeland has finally disclosed Canada's budget for the first time in two years. According to the report, the federal deficit is estimated to be 354.2 billion. Later that day, the liberal government has announced additional spending that would raise the federal deficit by another 35% within the next 2 years, to a total of approximately 500 billion. By 2023, the Trudeau government will have added more debt in 7 years that all Canadian prime ministers in the prior 148 years, leaving economists and financial analysts scratching their heads.

President and CEO of Forge First Asset Management, Andrew McCreath has publicly called out the liberal government for their reckless spending. According to McCreath, such a deliberate waste of public funds is criminal.
