A spokesperson for the prime minister's office has issued a statement on Monday, announcing that Trudeau will make himself available for a total of 12 minutes for a televised press conference.
As Trudeau was scheduled to emerge from his cottage in the early hours of April 12, reporters from around the country flocked to Ottawa to view the wonder. Their hopes and dreams of an extensive interview were brutally dashed however, as the prime minister dodged most of their questions.
Nevertheless, he did announce additional "aid" packages for stakeholders with ties to the liberal government (nudge nudge wink wink) amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars. The programs will be unveiled in the upcoming weeks.
